Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect what we need to send you a box and let you back into your account, and nothing else. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising trackers on this site, and we never see your password or your card number.

Who is responsible for your data

What we collect, and why

• Your name and email address, when you create an account. We need them to identify you and to send you order and shipping emails.
• Your shipping address and phone number, when you place an order. The carrier needs both to deliver the parcel.
• Your order history, so you can see it in your account and so we can handle returns.
• Your membership plan, if you join The Burrow, so we know what to send you each month.
• Your email address, if you subscribe to our list. You can unsubscribe from any email we send.

We do not ask for, and do not want, any information about your health, beliefs or anything else in those categories.

What we never see

• Your password. Accounts are handled by Clerk. Your password is set with them and we have no way of reading it.
• Your card number. Payments are handled by Stripe on their own secure pages. We receive a confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with the last digits and the card brand, and nothing more.

Who else handles it

We keep the list of companies that touch your data as short as we can. Today it is:

• Clerk — accounts, sign-in and the data attached to your profile.
• Stripe — payments, subscriptions and order records.
• Vercel — hosting of this website and its server logs.
• Resend — the emails we send you: order confirmations, shipping updates and the monthly list.
• Zoho Mail — the mailbox that receives what you write to us.
• Google Fonts — the two typefaces this site uses are loaded from Google's servers, which means your IP address reaches them when a page loads. No cookie is set and nothing else is sent.
• The carrier that delivers your parcel, which receives your name, address and phone number for that delivery.

Each of them acts on our instructions. We do not sell your data to anyone, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

Cookies and what your browser stores

This site does not use advertising or profiling cookies. What it does use is your browser's local storage, which stays on your device:

• Your cart, so it survives closing the tab.
• Your language choice, so we do not ask twice.
• Your session, set by Clerk so you stay signed in.
• Your cart and preferences, kept in your browser's local storage: the items in your cart, your language choice, the plan you picked, and — if you started a checkout — the shipping details you typed, so the form can refill them. They never leave your device except to place the order, and signing out clears the shipping copy.

Clearing your browser data removes all of it.

How long we keep it

Your account data stays for as long as your account exists. Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, which is normally several years, even after you close your account. Marketing emails stop the moment you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can also object to us using it for marketing, at any time, and we will stop. Write to hello@snackrabbit.co and we will reply within 30 days. If you ask us to delete your account, we will, keeping only what tax rules force us to keep.

Where your data lives

Our providers store data on servers in the United States and other countries. If you write to us from somewhere with stricter rules on international transfers, tell us and we will explain how that specific case is handled.

Children

This store is not intended for children. We do not knowingly create accounts for anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their data, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will email the people it affects rather than expecting them to notice.
